KIIT Worlds's First Convocation & Founder's Day Function
 

KIIT world, Gurgaon organized in a glittering function its convocation ceremony for the pass out students of MCA, BBA, BCA and B.Ed from its Colleges of I.T and Management and the KIIT College of Education, Prof. Sukhadeo Thorat,Chairman, University Grants Commission was the Chief Guest and Prof. (Dr.) P.B.Sharma, Vice Chancellor Delhi Technological University was the guest of Honor. On this occasion KIIT World also celebrated its founder’s day

 
   
  
     
 

The convocation ceremony started with an impressive academic procession consisting of Lecturers, Asst. Professors, Professors, Principals, Executive Director, Members of Management Committee, Guest of Honor, the Chief Guest and the Chairman Vidyapati Sansthan in their ceremonial robes, with the lighting of ceremonial lamp by the chief guest and other dignitaries and Sarswati Vandana by the College students, the convocation and the founder’s day program formally began. Sri B.R.Kamrah Ji Chairman Vidyapati Sansthan welcomed the Chief Guest Prof. Sukhadeo Thorat, Chairman,UGC, Shri Harsh Vardhan, Chief Executive Officer welcomed the Guest of Honor. Prof. (Dr.) P.B Sharma, Vice Chancellor, Delhi Technological University by offering a flower bouquet to each one.

 
     
  
     
 

At the outset the Chief Guest declared the convocation open. Prof. P.S.Grover , Vice Chairman KIIT gave a welcome address which was followed by presentation of progress report by the Executive Director, Prof S.S. Agrawal. The Chief guest then delivered the commandments of convocation. Later he awarded the degrees to the pass out graduates & post graduates. Prof. R.K.Jain Principal College of IT and Management and Prof. M. Sen Gupta, Principal KIIT college of education presented their candidates for the award of degrees. In all 117 candidates of MCA, 89 candidates of B.ED and 74 candidates of B.C.A, 101 Candidates of B.B.A received the degrees. All the degree awardees were administered the oath by the Executive Director Prof. S.S. Agrawal.

 
     
     
  
     
 

On this occasion Prof. Sukhadeo Thorat, Chairman, UGC delivered the convocation address. He stressed the role of private self Financial Institution in spreading quality higher education even to poorer sections of the society. He said that Education must be relevant to life and provide human values. Prof. (Dr.) P.B.Sharma, Vice Chancellor Delhi Technological University asked for wings of knowledge and power of innovation. He advised that we must not falter even in adverse circumstances. He asked the students to always fire their imagination and relentlessly pursue knowledge in their lives. He also stressed on purity of mind and self discipline.

 
   
 

Shri B.R. Kamrah Ji, Chairman, Vidyapati Sansthan in his address emphasized the importance of health, purity of thought, food and deed to lead a long and happy life.

 
   
 

On this occasion excellence awards were given to best teachers of the three colleges and best supporting staff in different categories in the form of cash awards, of 11000, 5100, 2100 respectively. Ms. Sangeeta Bhatia proposed a hearty vote of thanks.
